Basketball Skills Camp

Coach Jason Rice of Faith West Academy is hosting a Basketball Skills Camp for ages 1st through 8th this summer in Katy! Come sharpen your athletics with an experienced collegiate athlete and enjoy the fun and engaging sport of basketball. Coach Rice has been involved in camps for over ten years. He is currently the Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at a local private school. Mr. Rice also has experience in personal training. This camp will be held the first week of summer, June 8th through 12th. The younger athletes will train from 9 AM to 11 AM Monday through Friday and the older athletes will train from 1 PM to 3 PM during that same week. Water bottles, daily snacks, and camper t-shirts are all included! Competitions, games, and an overall enjoyable experience is sure to be had by all. High school level players are more than welcome to apply for volunteer coaching positions; contact us soon as there are a select number of spots open!

Camp West 2015

Camp West is located on the beautiful 42-acre development in Katy, Texas.  Camp maintains a 10:1 camper to counselor ratio and six lifeguards.  Facilities include a great sports complex with a double full-size air conditioned gymnasium, indoor rock wall, two ball fields, six acre lake & park, two zip lines over the lake, 75’ water slide,  20’ water trampoline, and two fishing lakes. Six additional features have been added to the lake for 2015; floating Jungle Jim Water Play Station, Summit Express Water Slide, Freefall Water Slide, 14’ Iceberg Climbing Wall, Rockit Water Rocker, and Spin Wheel Running Track.

Camps are for all children from kindergarten to 7th grade.   Camp hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.

About the Camps

U.K. International provides the most unique soccer experience and fun for any kid who loves soccer! All the Coaches are from the United Kingdom (UK), which gives the program a unique experience. Each coach is certified, screened, and background checked to ensure a safe environment for the kids. There is a limited camper to coach ratio to ensure maximum attention to each camper.

UK International offers the following sessions:

Mini-Camp:

•4 and 5 year olds

•1 1/2 hour sessions (if available in your area).

Half-Day Camp:

•6 to 16 year olds

•3 hour sessions

Full-Day Camp:

•6 to 16 year olds

Katy Art School is committed to providing high quality Art Instruction year around and especially during the summer months!  All classes are taught by certified teachers from the Houston and Katy School Districts and have been specially designed to teach unique art skills through various mediums and projects throughout the summer.  Many of our teachers are specialists in their area so take advantage of our small class size and individual attention!

Didn’t finish your project?  Our regular Art After School classes will remain in session for all existing students, and we have opened them up for any Summer Camp students needing more time.  Students may book time during the age appropriate Art After School session to complete any project from a previous session.  Session Time can be booked for $25/hr.

We have classes for ages 5 to 15!  Class length, complexity, and skills taught, have each been designed to be appropriate for the age group indicated.  While we appreciate a desire to keep siblings together, we ask that you only register your child for classes in their age group.  We do offer a 10% Sibling Discount for the first sibling and 25% for the second sibling even when not enrolled in the same class.  Classes are filling up fast, so don’t delay!

Wildcat Summer Camps – Westlake Wildcat Summer Camps are designed to bring skill development and summer fun!

HIGH ADVENTURE TRACK

High Adventure campers learning the basics of climbing, including techniques, safety and equipment. Offered during the July 5-11 and July 26-August 1 sessions.  

COUNSELORS IN TRAINING PROGRAM

This leadership program is designed for 16- to 17-year-old campers to help them prepare for their role as a future camp counselor. Offered from June 21-July 3, July5-18 or July 19-August 1.   

KAMP K’AANA

Kamp K’aana introduces children to powerful, life-changing tools. Held at YMCA Camp Cullen on Lake Livingston, Kamp K’aana provides a two-week program for obese kids ages 10-14.Offered July 12-25, 2015.
