Letter from the Publisher

It is hard to believe, but with this issue we are starting our fourth year of publishing our sister publication, Fort Bend Christian Magazine! Our first issue of Fort Bend Christian Magazine was the August/September issue back in 2014, with only 28 pages. Since then, we’ve grown by almost 50%; we directly mail out to 32,000 homes, and can be picked up in 320 locations, including most churches. Our mission is to provide cutting edge stories important to today’s Christians, and interesting editorial content your entire family can enjoy.

We value all reader feedback we receive, and would encourage anyone reading this letter to send suggestions, ideas, and input on how we can improve our magazines. Our primary goal is to keep our readers happy and spread a family-friendly and Godly message, and we are continuously working on ways to enhance that. The project that we are working on now is promoting our social media, particularly our Facebook page. If you haven’t done so already, please like our Facebook page and check out more updates on our new and exciting improvements!

Lastly, there is no greater way you can show you support for us than by supporting those who advertise in our publication. We feature a variety of wonderful and family-friendly establishments, doctors, law offices, churches, and so much more. When you’re in their area, swing by and let them know that you saw their ad in our magazine that you appreciate them advertising with us. Our goal is to serve our community in a Christian manner, and this would not be possible without the funding of our advertisers. Thank you for loyalty and your support!

Joseph Menslage

As the President and Publisher of Katy and Fort Bend Christian Magazines, Joe Menslage is committed to covering social and political news from a Christian worldview. He founded Katy Christian Magazine in 2005, which swept the greater Houston and Katy areas like a storm. That’s when Joe realized the urgent need for publications willing to give voices to the voiceless, without political correctness or censorship. Joe Menslage founded sister-publication Fort Bend Christian Magazine in 2014. Prior to creating Katy Christian Magazine, Joe Menslage led a colorful life. He was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, spent a great deal of his childhood in Colorado, and lived in a couple of other states before he moved to Houston in 1981. Joe was God-gifted with an entrepreneurial mind, and self-started other business ventures before he found his calling. In Joe’s words, our innate talents are given by the Lord, and are meant to be used to serve the Lord. Aside from being a President and Publisher, Joe Menslage is also the co-founder of Katy Christian Chamber of Commerce, where Christians can network, build business connections, listen to passionate speakers, and enjoy monthly breakfasts and lunches. Joe Menslage also hosts a weekly political satire YouTube channel. Joe Menslage has four children. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, watching zombie movies and K dramas, ax-throwing and Krav Maga.
