CJs began as a high-school lawn maintenance job for owner, Chris Naeger. He continued mowing lawns through his college years and after graduation, met a landscape architect who taught him about design and the true art of landscaping. When he found that he really enjoyed the creative side to landscaping and decided to make a career in the landscape business, it became a family affair with his parents opening a garden nursery.
CJs design process begins from the moment you contact us either by telephone, email or our website. Our office staff first learns the basic details of your vision for your outdoor space with pointed questions aimed at gathering all the necessary information to provide our estimators/designers. Our designers then sit down with you for a face-to-face meeting, usually at the location of the intended project, where they take their time to listen attentively to your needs and desires, while offering knowledge and information to help educate you on all things outdoors pertaining to your personal design, from the plants and trees to the stone and rock and beyond. During the design phase, you will also be asked to tour a local nursery with the designer to further educate you on the landscaping plant material incorporated into your design. Through this process, you can get a true picture and feel for what your outdoor space will look like.
